Fallout 4 has, up until this point, been restricted to a single console generation, unlike Skyrim, which has launched on nearly every system generation three times. But Bethesda revealed today that Fallout 4 will receive a next-gen update. The update is scheduled to debut in 2023 and will include a high-performance mode, bug fixes, and bonus material, according to the announcement on Fallout's website.
The next-gen news was accompanied by a plethora of Fallout 76 upgrades. From now through November 8th, there is a Halloween event taking place, and beginning on October 25th, Fallout 76ers will be able to pick up one free item per day that honors the 25th anniversary of the series. In addition to the free item every day, Bethesda is giving out additional things because the Fallout series is reportedly old enough to rent a car. Starting on October 27 for Xbox Game Pass subscribers and November 2 for Prime Gaming users, players with these subscriptions can get a free 25th-anniversary cosmetic bundle.
Fallout fans will have plenty to hold them over for the current generation while they wait for their next journey in the wasteland with Starfield just around the corner and Elder Scrolls VI maybe hidden in a Bethesda vault (see what I did there?
